Ambient Air Monitoring

The US Army Corps has been working since 1992 to clean up the Bunker Hill site.  This last phase of the project includes removing any metal contaminated soil from throughout the site to the Central Impound Area (CIA) and capping the CIA.  While the soil is being moved, the US Army Corps contracted monitoring of the ambient particulate emissions to ensure regulatory limits are met.

Spring Environmental cited and installed three TEOMs, one TSP monitor and one PM10 monitor within the city limits of Kellogg.  Data recovery was reviewed and validated, and periodic calibrations and audits were conducted.  Throughout the project, Spring Environmental provided technical assistance on equipment operations and malfunctions, and provided training to on-site technicians.
