Under
OSHA and the appropriate state agencies, emergency responder training is
required for hazardous waste operations and facilities which store and
use hazardous materials. Spring Environmental developed and continues to provide Hazardous Waste Operations Emergency Response Training (HAZWOPER) – both the initial 40-hour training and the 8-hour refresher - on a quarterly basis to Inland Northwest consultants, industry representatives and emergency responders. The training includes overview of chemical properties, regulatory changes, personal protective equipment, confined space procedures, medical evaluations, waste management, and emergency response procedures.
